Hi, I'm Ajeng.

I'm a knitwear designer based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I've been knitting since 2008 and started writing patterns around the same time — what began as a personal practice eventually became a way to share the craft with others.

Published work

I've published four knitting pattern books in Bahasa Indonesia at the national level. I also create knitting kits paired with my own original patterns, all written in Indonesian.

Design focus

Hats are my primary specialty. For sample knitting I reach for locally-sourced Indonesian yarn whenever I can — it's part of what makes each piece feel rooted in where I live and work.

A note on language

Indonesian is my first language. My English-language patterns are written with care, but please forgive any grammatical imperfections — if something is unclear, don't hesitate to reach out.
