Court Jester Hat

This hat was born when I thought about a hat that will be fun even only as a sleep hat or a super cute costume hat. And also a fun hang out hat if you that confident with your unique style. ;-)

This pattern using intarsia in round, simple stranded, and three-needle bind-off alongside with basic stitches and basic increase.

Please mind the gauge. I made this pattern into 4 sizes and test them all with the help of my knitter’s friends. But if you still need to alter the finished hat circumferences a little bit, try to change the needle one size bigger or smaller.

The samples knitted in SA Poyeng yarn in 4 solid colors, but feel free using any DK yarn that suited for 3.5 - 4.5 mm knitting needle.

What you need are = DK weight yarns in 4 different colors (2 colors only used in a small amount), 4 mm (US 6) as main needle and 3.5 mm (US 4) for the brim, ready-made pompom or bells for decoration, tapestry needle.
