Knitting Pattern: Another Baby Giraffe Hat

A fast and fun project! This is my take on baby giraffe hat. Actually, this is the revised version of I made in 2016. This 2025 version used intarsia in round because I really prefer to avoid inconvenient seaming. And I find that ribbed brim is still the best for starting every knitting project.

If you already master basic knitting, basic decrease and increase, knitting in the round, basic seaming in knitting, and the principle of intarsia, then you are ready for this pattern.

I specifically write about how many needles are used in the process, so please read all the instructions. :)

I made this hat in one size. But you can easily make this hat into another size by changing the yarns and needles to bigger ones.

The samples knitted in SA Poyeng yarn in 2 different solid colors, and leftover dark color yarn for the nose detail, but feel free to use any DK yarn that suits for 3.5 - 4.5 mm knitting needle.

What you need are = DK weight yarns in 3 solid colors, a very little doll stuffing, 2 cm and diameter simple black buttons for eyes.
